My wife of 32+ years passed away March 3, 2018, she claimed her Social Security for January and February of 2018. I then Remarried in June of 2018. How Do I handle this situation?

You have the option of filing jointly or separately with your new wife. Your deceased spouse will be married filing separately if there was any additional income to add to her Social Security income.

My deceased spouse made $2,958.00 for the FY2018, with no other additional monies. So does this mean I dont have to file for her at all?

Did she have any social security? Was this income wages or unearned such as interest or sale of stock?

My Previous wife passed away in March of 2018 and I remarried in June of 2018, what should I do

She had $2,958 in SS Disability for the first 3 months of 2018, she passed in March, she had nothing with held and she had no other monies at all, ie. stocks, bonds, interest or anything.

No, you do not have to file a return for her.

I receive $2,040.00 a year from NC Firemen and Rescue Squad Workers Pension Fund, the Taxable amount is 1,987.68.  The question asks what did I do with this money as if it was a lump sum, it was not I received this retirement pay in monthly payments. I dont understand
