H&R seems to be the only other desktop software.
There is also TaxAct:

I Am Very Very Disappointed to Learn Turbo-Tax 2025 Does Not Support Windows10: I Have Been Using Turbo-Tax Deluxe Annually (Since 1998): My (current) Computer Does Not Have Required TPM Chip and My CPU (Does Not Support Windows11): I Do Have Microsoft EM2 Updates Support Through To 2027+.... I am Waiting for Windows12 Release with NPU-AI Support Later (~Sept/Oct2026) before Upgrade.... [Currently 45%+ CPU's are Still Running Windows10....}: How Can You Loose All These Sales???? I Just Purchased Window10 Deluxe from (Sam's Club) For $56 Only To Find (when I Got Back Home): That I Can Not Use It....
[Last Year (2024): I Purchases Turbo-Tax (2024) for ($56) (from Sam's Club): Only to-find (when April came around) I Could Not Install IT (on this my same Windows10 Computer): I Ended-Up Filling My Taxes and my Special-Needs Son's Taxes (Online) For $151.55 Each....] What Am I To DO (more of the Same This Year)????]
YOU ARE TOO EARLY TO CUTOFF YOUR SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS10 {while 45%+ CPU Worldwide are Still Running/Using Windows10.....}
Hey Intuit - Updates have not ended, only free updates for Pro and Home. LTSC version that I have gets free updates thru 2032. I have a program on my PC that can not run on 11, so I will not be updating anytime soon to 11. I hate to change to another tax preparer, but if I must, then I must.

H&R Block or TaxAct if you have to switch. You might want to consider exactly how long those two firms will support Windows 10, though, as you might find yourself in the same dilemma for the 2026 tax year.
will cross that bridge a year from now

Good planning; wait until the last minute.
Given how long it takes Microsoft to get a new version of Windows stable and useful, waiting until the last minute seems like the smart thing to do.

Out of all of my machines, laptops and desktops, I haven't had one issue with Windows 11.

I have never seen TurboTax for the price I paid for H&R Block. this year
That's definitely a good price but H&R Block has always been less expensive than TurboTax.
My opinion is that TurboTax is a mediocre product to begin with. Unfortunately, from my research, their competition over the years has gotten similar mediocre ratings and reviews. Therefore, since I have been using TurboTax for many years (maybe since they began) I stuck with it. Seems like time for a change
Since Microsoft decided to continue to support Windows 10 for another year and I am happy with my W10 as are others I believe TurboTax has made a mistake by not offering an edition that works on W10 and W11. I don't want to do my taxes online in the cloud. I want it on my machine as in the past. Time to check out H&R Block and other competitors.
Check out H&R Block Deluxe Federal & State on-sale on newegg and amazon.

It's H&R Block or TaxAct if you're keeping score. There are only two DIY desktop developers other than Intuit (TurboTax).

You can get Premium at the moment for only ~$54 at Amazon.
Been using TurboTax for 20 years. Have zero intention of downgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10. So Intuit and I are done for good, I guess. Buh bye!
In case Intuit is paying attention, new Windows 10 installations have overtaken new Windows 11 installations. New Windows 8 installations have also overtaken Windows 11.
