I got this message and rejected on my e file...
This return can not be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 5, 2020 ?
What is this?
@ajd878787 Any luck on your state filing? I made payment for both Federal and State (NY) but only e-filed my Federal. The 8915-E form generated after submission. IRS accepted Federal same day.
As for state, I changed the status to file later until the error is resolved.
@DawnC Hi Dawn. I efiled my Federal using 8915-E form and was successful. IRS accepted my return. I held off filing the NY State return until the error was corrected for Covid-19 related distribution.
Can or Will I be able to use your NY Pension Exclusion as you suggested for Covid-19 related distributions even though I already efiled the Fed Return?
I tried last night and was still getting the same error.
I’ve seen a March 5 date for a fix so am holding off for that. I am hesitant to submit the returns separately.
No the state wouldn’t go through either due to the federal? I did have a 1099 K I forgot to enter from a 602 dollar sale via PayPal would that have trigger it?
You had the same response and got rejected? What is with the March 5th date and the year is off 2020? Any turbo tax experts on here?
I did have a 1099 K I forgot to enter from a 602 dollar sale via PayPal would that have triggered it? It barely effects my income, but it said my numbers are off... what’s with the March 5th date any ideas?
No change to my status - still getting the same "Check This Entry" message during Federal review (related to my and wife's Forms 8606). Also being advised that TT cannot e-file my CA return due to IRA deduction and non-conformity regarding the IRS lifting age 70 1/2 rule but CA not following. Posted a question to community about this, but no responses. Guess I will wait until the March 5 date and see what happens. Frustration is growing!!!
I find my taxes already they took the money so should I wait for the 8915-E to be available? My federal is accepted just having a problem with the state. I was told that 8915 comes out on the 11th will I be able to finish my taxes on TurboTax when this is available I don't want to send it in through mail. I am so confused
I had already filed and paid. The question is should I keep checking on TurboTax to see if the form is available and when it is would I be able to finish my taxes on TurboTax? I do not want to amend or send my taxes in I would like to finish it on TurboTax
Good god, another new date now the 11th. We’ve heard many dates being peddled like 24, 25, then 26, now 5 and 11.
I can confidently say these dates mean nothing at all. We are mostly all cluelessly waiting for a resolution for the 8915-E form issue with the State return worksheet error.
I tried last night and it is not fixed.
The form “exists” but that is the extent of it.
Seems to not work mathematically for some depending on scenario. More importantly, you cannot e-file in many states still, even though it is listed as e-filable.
Where do we find out if we can e file this form in our state? Does Virginia allow form 8915-e?
The Virginia form will be automatically completed but may not yet be available.
Form 8915-E is a federal form. Virginia may use existing forms, such as Schedule ADJ, to report any variance. Not all states are in conformity with the IRS and the TurboTax engineers are working as fast as possible to incorporate all the state complexities with the new filing requirements.

Now that the IRS has finalized its new Form 8915-F, and all instructions/worksheets, when will TT complete its programming for incorporating? I'm using the online version, and as of yesterday (3/2/22) TT was still not able to allow me to complete the Form 8915-F and account properly for my COVID-19 related IRA Distribution and my tax year 2021 repayments of those distributions. Much the same as last year, when TT took well into March to correct the Form 8606 glitches...VERY frustrating!
