Why would my expected date be September 11, 2025?

I filed April 23 and when I call it's under review and expected date is September 11 why so long?

Maybe because you filed after April 15 and Trump's firing so many federal workers, including IRS employees, causing long delays.

There are a number of things that can delay IRS processing of your return.  If you claimed an earned income credit or an electric vehicle credit those are adding to processing times.
