Why is its deductible being discontinued again? Last time, they asked users opinions and then kept it. It's a great tool!

Thank you for making up my mind, Intuit. Because of your reneging on your previous statement to keep ItsDeductible, you will no longer get my or my kids' families money using your over-priced tax preparation software.

We were willing to put up with your tax prep software through its nags for add-ons and "offers" but no more.

You tried this s#!t three years ago (almost to the day) and you relented and now, you're trying it again.

Not happy about this either. I have been using ItsDeductible for decades. It is a major reason why I purchase TT every year. Please reconsider this abysmal decision.

This "answer" from the President's Office isn't actually an answer.  It's simply a restatement of the points made by the customer.  So, I'll ask again.  Why is Intuit discontinuing It's Deductible?

Can't add much to the great feedback already provided by others. I too have been a LONG time user of Turbo Tax (TT) and have found It's deductible (ID) very useful and easy to import into TT. 

Hopefully Intuit will look back a couple of years when a similar announcement was made and revisit this terrible  position. For some time I have been less than thrilled with the changes in user interface, but wasn't sure there was a good alternative. SOOOOO, this year I will buy both TT and H&R do my taxes in both and compare the results, ease of use, etc. If H&R is as good as TT or even almost as good (has to have the correct results) then 2026 my family will make a permanent move to H&R or might even explore tax Act??

"We're here to help" is total 100% BS!!!  This is a totally lame and meaningless response.  I know nothing about programming but it doesn't seem to me that It's Deductible is a big, complicated program - it's just tracking several categories of income tax deductions based on user input.  Why would you discontinue something that customers love?

Intuit continues to drop excellent tools and breaking consumer trust and loyalty in their products altogether. It's interesting that they've chosen to erode decades of trust after dropping Mint too.

I know I have gone from committed customer to fickle customer; I'll go where the consumer experience takes precedence over squeezing out every last penny from the consumer.  I've been a consistent turbotax user for a couple of decades but I'm ready to look for other options to follow for the next decade.

I can't believe you term your decision inconvenient.  That get the understatement prize.  I have used It's Deductible for years and loved it. I will definitely look for a new convenient tax reporting application if you proceed with this horrid decision.

I agree, I have been using Turbo Tax for almost 30 years! It's Deductible has been so helpful in tracking donations! I actually wish that they expanded the software to incorporate tracking medical expenses, and other expenses found on the itemized deductions form, to make things even easier.  I am extremely upset to see that it is being discontinued. I find it very inconsiderate to discontinue it midyear, at the very least they should have allowed us to use it through the 2025 year, and be able to import our 2025 donation data to our returns.  In addition, many other tax softwares offer similar donation trackers. Turbo Tax keeps raising there price and removing features like it's deductible. I will really hope that they reconsider their decision to end It's Deductible. If I am forced to look for another donation tracking software, I will likely end up switching to entirely new tax prep software that has the donation tracking feature included.

This is a terrible idea. Each year I’ve been saying that It’s Deductible was the only thing keeping us from turning to a CPA. Now, we will. Goodbye, TurboTax.

How can Intuit consider discontinuing Its Deductible? It’s a horrid decision!  I have used it conveniently for decades. Now it faces termination in the middle of the tax year no less. All Intuit can do is apologize for the  “inconvenience.”  How dare they?  Now they will have to deal with THE INCONVENIENCE of thousands dropping Intuit’s TurboTax.

This tool is so valuable and easy to use - why are you discontinuing it?!!!  I've been using it for decades to track all of my donations.  And now, you're cancelling it before the end of the year?!  That makes no sense!  Discontinue it AFTER April 15th, with enough notice beforehand so that we can track our donations using a different system!
