Called them and got it figured out. Thank you to everyone who answered.
I downloaded my return that I did back in April and it shows that my total income was $12,036 when it should have been $744 why does it show this number?

Turns out it had me fill out "Form 8615, Tax for Certain Children Who Have Unearned Income" for some reason even though I have no children. How do I delete this?
did you save a PDF of the file in April? if not in the online version only the last iteration remains. if you filed with the IRS back in April, there should be a transcript of the return as filed so you have something to compare.

Form 8615 is not for children of yours. It's for "kiddie tax." Kiddie tax is not just for kiddies. It might apply to you. It's called "kiddie tax" from the days when it only applied to children under 14. The age limit has been raised to where it can apply to adult children who are still in school, but the name has stuck.
If you have unearned income, such as investment income, of more than $2,200, and you are not filing a joint return, then your unearned income over $2,200 is taxed at your parents' rate if any one of the following is true.
(1) You were under 18 at the end of 2020.
(2) You were 18 at the end of 2020 and your earned income (from working) is not more than half of your total support for the year.
(3) You were under 24 at the end of 2020, you were a full-time student, and your earned income (from working) is not more than half of your total support for the year.
The kiddie tax applies to any "unearned income," not just investment income. Unearned income is basically any income that wasn't from working. It could be interest from a bank, Social Security benefits, or even unemployment benefits. Here's the definition of unearned income for kiddie tax, from IRS Publication 929, page 15. Although it's not mentioned in Pub. 929, taxable scholarship income is also considered unearned income for kiddie tax.
"Unearned income is generally all income other than salaries, wages, and other amounts received as pay for work actually performed. It includes taxable interest, dividends, capital gains (including capital gain distributions), the taxable part of social security and pension payments, certain distributions from trusts, and unemployment compensation. Unearned income includes amounts produced by assets your child obtained with earned income (such as interest on a savings account into which you deposited wages)."
I just redid that form and it turns out that it was not the problem. I have no idea where they are getting $12,000 from
No, I just saved it today while trying to work on my FAFSA
Okay, so I went through and redid the child's net unearned income thing and made sure to put $0 as this is correct and the revised form still shows roughly $11,000 there. Why is this?
The details of your problem are not clear.
What form and line number has "roughly $11,000," and what is the exact amount on that line? Look at the actual tax forms, not a screen in TurboTax.
Where exactly did you enter $0? What is the heading or title of the screen, and the description of the box where you entered zero?
Do your parents have any other children who file Form 8615 besides you?
What is your $744 of income from? Is it a from job that you got a W-2 for? Does the $744 appear on your Form 1040? If so, on what line?
Are you saying that you had no unearned income at all? Review the definition of unearned income in my earlier reply above.
Did you already file your tax return, or are you getting ready to file it now?
