which one - w8 or w9 ?

I was asked to complete either w8 or w9 depending on my status by etrade. I am not sure which one to fill, can someone guide me here? I am currently on h1b for past 2 years and in US for past 6 years, haven't been to outside of US for past 1.5 years or so.
