Any updates when we will be able to file in Maryland?
The official line seems to be that there will be a patch release March 3; try filing on March 4.
Not anything other that what's been happening for weeks...a random unsubstantiated date for resolution
A series of delays, misinformation and obfuscations. What little fig leaf of credibility Intuit has will be totally shredded if March 3 doesn't provide the fix.
What an epic disaster for this company. Hard to believe you have to wait until March to file yet there is no warning until AFTER you have paid your money.
Dear Intuit,
Please see username.
Thank You
I applied the latest update from TT on Sunday, 2/27, and at least the application is saying I will be able to e-file my VA state on 3-3. Hopefully, that is true as the information coming from TT has not been very reliable so far concerning this issue. I did go ahead and e-file my federal without my VA state. This was not my preferred way of doing it, but TT support has suggested doing it to several people. In the past, this was not an option.
I live in Maryland and am still getting that message. What's up???
Intuit / Turbo Tax has stopped responding to inquiries, other than the long, canned message. I think the customer service folks are shell shocked. They are stuck in the middle between all of us and the "engineers" and corporate management. I confess, as much as I'm angry at the 8582 disaster, I feel a bit sorry for those front line service reps.
Im also from MD turbo tax user for more than 10 years being frustrated with 8582 ... when will it be ready... this will not be good publicity and will impact turbo sales for next year if not fix ASAP
The company line is that the resolution date is March 3 with try filing on March 4. Bets anyone? TaxSlayer or TaxAct anyone?
I think March 3 is full on Bulls_it. I believe they either don’t care or don’t have the expertise to fix it. Everyone from the TT CEO down to the management of programming should be terminated, all monies spent by everyone affected by this mess including the state -e-file charges be refunded. Additionally if the entire program was affected, they should ensure refunds paid to the user as shown owed by the program PLUS any monies due the IRS/States because of incorrect programming and calculation errors. It also wouldn’t hurt if TT either provided free software to us or whatever it costs for those who change to another software provider. They made this a disaster, they need severe punishment.
Has this issue been fixed? I keep getting the error message. Thanks.
It is March 1st and I'm still getting this error I live in Maryland is there a work around???
This has been an issue since the software’s release. Supposedly it will be fixed to file on 3/4 however based on the history of the problem, I’ll believe it when Maryland receives and accepts the return via Turbo tax since I already paid for the state e-file. My suggestion for you is to search form 8582 on TT and read the history. It’s not pretty.
