When will form 8582 be ready?

For the first time since my start of using TT in the ‘90’s, I checked out other tax software. TaxAct was cited in this thread; I looked at TaxSlayer which rated well and is far less expensive.

This is a known experience that has been escalated and is in review for a fix. We understand that this is frustrating and apologize for the inconvenience. We will advise once an update is made available. In the meantime, you may file your federal return first and then complete the state return later.

TT; many of us do not want to file separately. We want both returns to check out, file, and be done.

Hi. I was reading in a forum and I live in Idaho. Having the same problem stating I can’t file taxes until Mid March. I only invested last year. No investment or loss this year. So why is this holding up my 2021 filing ?

@EbonyA  Is there any way to get a refund for MA return costs so i can go to another online tax provider and file without delay?   i just checked and it said the form would be ready March 3rd - which totally unacceptable.

TT’s state form listing does not include form 8582 for Maryland, whereas form 8582 Passive Activity Loss Limitations, page 2, and page 3 are listed for Massachusetts w/ a as stated earlier availability date of 03/03/2022. When are form 8582 pages for Maryland being released?

the form 8582 is actually ready and available in Virginia, Turbo tax is just not fixing its software.  I'd like to file both federal and state together.  I've been on the phone almost every day with customer service. I am about to just ask for a refund!!

Turbo Tax / Intuit.  This is on you! Form 8582 is posted as available now on most states' tax websites. Stop with the conflicting messages. Git er done!!!!
