@BeKind20 Oh, I think someone else commented that they prepaid and was able to do it still. But I honestly never prepay, I always wait until the end for "just in case purposes" such as this.
Oh No, do not delete and start over
Look to the left where it says file, you have to edit the delivery method of your maryland taxes only to either file by mail or I'm not ready yet, and that will postpone your state filing. Then you can e-file your federal. Once your federal is accepted you can go back and change your state taxes back to e-file.
Thank you @neblank I'm going to try and do my state now!
@sendtodd It is fixed now, I just filed my state taxes. A TT rep mentioned to me before that you must sign out and sign back in for the system to update. If you use Chrome as a browser make sure that is updated as well (mine updated this morning).
Hope this helps!
@jimr63 it is fixed. I just filed my state. Make sure you sign out and sign back in, also make sure your web browser is updated (Chrome just did an update this morning as well).
@mictrogdon I just filed mine on my desktop, it is resolved. Make sure you sign out and sign back in to your account for the update.
Did you have any entries in the Form 8582? I do and it's still not working for me.
@jimr63 no, it actually asked me nothing about the form AT ALL processed just as the federal did. Try logging all the way out of TT and restart your phone/computer and try again. Hopefully that will do.
tried that several times. :(
@jimr63 I am so sorry you are having these issues, have you tried to do a chat with a rep? They can do a screen share with you to try and resolve the issue. I am not sure why it is still giving you an issue. I wish I could do more to assist you :(
Thanks for trying.
@randlem10 Thank you so much for thinking of me but I filed on the Maryland State site for free and requested a refund from TT.
Just finished my taxes seems like they updated the service form 8582 doesn't prohibited you from doing your taxes anymore
Is there anyone in Maryland with entries on the 8582 that have been able to file their state taxes yet? I have passive losses annotated on the form and still cannot proceed past this error. Is it just the returns that have no entries on this form that are able to be filed?
