Can you clarify if it was the federal return or the state return that is not being accepted?
Federal 1041 Estate. Got message the were not accepting efiles at this time.
I can’t find any information as to what date the IRS will accept Business Estate Form 1041.
You may have a form included in your tax return that is not supported by either TurboTax or the IRS for e-file. You can review the forms availability for e-file at IRS forms availability table for TurboTax Business.
To review the specific forms included in your Form 1041 tax return you can follow these steps:
If you think it is a state form that is holding you up, you can review state form availability at State forms availability table for TurboTax Business.
Alicia/ or Others,
I am contemplating using turbo tax business edition for a trust. I am the executor and this is the 1st year that i will be filing. My question is "does the turbo tax downloaded business edition let me file electronically, or will I have to US mail it?" Before purchasing, would like to understand what my options are.
Thanks,
Yes, you may efile the downloaded Business Product return.
One of the forms that is currently listed as unsupported for efile by turbotax is "Form 8453-FE (E), US Estate/Trust Income Tax Decl. & Sig. Fiscal". This form is required for efile submissions by the feds for fiduciary/trust taxes, so no, until TT fixes it you will NOT be able to efile for trusts.
I am in my 4th year of using TT for my trust and in the past efiling with this form was supported, but this year it appears to no longer be supported. I'm over $200 into TT software for the year (Fed & state) and now I have to print out a 30 page return and mail it? Not good!
