What will be our due date for filing an amended 2015 form?

If we are going to amend a 2015 tax form that a tax preparer originally filed on March 3, 2016, do we still have until April 18, 2019 to have the amended form in?  Always confusing when they say 3 years form the date the original was filed.

You will have until April 15, 2019. (Note the day)   Generally, for a credit or refund, you must file Form 1040X within 3 years after the date you timely filed your original return or within 2 years after the date you paid the tax, whichever is later. For purposes of the limitation, a return filed or tax paid before the last day prescribed for its filing or payment (without regard to extensions) is considered filed or paid on that last day (Sec. 6513(a)).
