They are just swamped and SO behind I'm guessing. Honestly, I don't think it's anyone's fault. This was just kinda thrown on them. I know it's frustrating to everyone but we are just playing a waiting game that we are going to have to wait out. I did tell her it was from TT. They have the return. It just hasn't been processed yet. I'm going to just stop checking every day. Give it a week and check again. That's really all that we can do.

Ok maybe an answer!!!! Girl just talked to someone at the irs. She said that some people that filed through Turbo Tax as a non-filer are being held for 8 weeks to make sure that no one has claimed them as a dependent. It’s the only thing that makes sense and is the only real answer that we’ve gotten.

but if you are over the age, are they still holding payments??

why cant they check that if you are over 25 or whatever that you cant be claimed as a dependent?

I was accepted a couple days ago but for the direct deposit it said it was going to be deposited on the 05/28/ that is today ?????? I dnt have nothing 😭

I agree! I still think we have an 8 week hold. Talked to a girl at the irs yesterday and although she couldn’t confirm that she said that it sure does make sense. Next week is week 8 so we will see. She said they will be sending them out for the next 3-6 months. 😳
