I am staying optimistic, although my confidence in the IRS is low. I believe they will get thru the first wave then put these in the 2nd wave which will be next week.

THE SECOND STIMULUS PACKAGE SUCKS I DONT THINK ITS GOING TO HELP ANYONE. MINE SAYS SAME THING WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE STATUS OF YOUR PAYMENT NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION. I JUST CANT BLIEVE THEY THINK 600 WILL HELP.ANYONE. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF I AM GETTING ONE AND I HAD COROBA VIRUS THIS YEAR HAVENT WORKED AND AM ALMOST HOMELESS.  I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

You may be getting this message if you paid TurboTax with your refund last year. If that's the case, TurboTax has provided the IRS with your correct account information, and the IRS is working to send your payment to you within days. Please see this article.

Thus is ridiculous! When will this be fixed?? Why are we suffering. This was not tax payers  error.

I'm watching people spend their money. And all I want to do is be able to put extra money on my electric and water bill. This is exhausting and yes... Very ridiculous.

I trust Turbo Tax to help me file. I didn't know that they played a part in this. Just hoping for a quick and easy fix. (Exhales)

Yes. I got that message in my inbox from Turbo Tax Vice President. He puts the blame on the IRS but I think both Turbox Tax and IRS are at fault here. Checked my payment status today and nothing different. Just imagine if Binen gives us our next $2,000 stimulus and the same thing happens!

 

Please "chime" in to this group if you happen to get your stimulus.

I am getting same thing. Got last stimulus no problem. And referring someone to the IRS web site is not helping because that is garbage also.

IRS updated Get My Payment (GMP) for individuals who are receiving the second Economic Impact Payment on January 5, 2021. If you checked GMP on or after January 5 then: 

 

  • If GMP reflects a direct deposit date and partial account information, then your payment is deposited there.
  • If GMP reflects a date your payment was mailed, it may take up to 3 – 4 weeks for you to receive the payment. Watch your mail carefully for a check or debit card. (See the FAQ for EIP Card)
  • If GMP shows "Payment Status #2 – Not Available," then you will not receive a second Economic Impact Payment and instead you need to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 Tax Return.

Because of the speed at which the law required the IRS to issue the second round of Economic Impact Payments, some payments may have been sent to an account that may be closed or, is or no longer active, or unfamiliar. By law, the financial institution must return the payment to the IRS; they cannot hold and issue the payment to an individual when the account is no longer active. If Get My Payment shows "Payment Status #2 – Not Available" you will not receive a second EIP.

 

The IRS advises people that if they don't receive their Economic Impact Payment, they should file their 2020 tax return electronically and claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their tax return to get their payment and any refund as quickly as possible.  @Scholato

It’s been updated since with tax preparers fixing the issue wit the IRS so those impacted will get direct deposit. The Irs doesn’t know their head from their ass and are posting generic crap

 I was just wondering  if the the status saying not enough  information yet  or  your not eligible ...  what information is missing  and. How do I correct or complete  it

I got that message in my email also, and the checked the "Get My Payment" web site and still a BIG FAT GOOSE EGG.

 

Please chime in if anyone happens to show that they are getting it deposited.
