This answer is unacceptable. This needs to be fixed. I purchase Turbotax (since the early 90's) because I want to have all this work. Keying in all the info should not be the fix. :-(.
FIXED!!!!
After reading all these posts of problems I tried everyone's suggestion. One worked!!!!!!
FIX: I generated a new app specific pw in Wealthfront calling it SPECIFICALLY TurboTax (not Turbotax, not turbotax, not Turbo Tax)..... Specifically TurboTax, which is one word.
I took that new 32 character password and typed it into the turbotax link to Wealthfront screen and VOILA!!!!!.... my forms appeared.
@maguire3624 I had posted a link to another thread with a user-written solution to the problem. If you are uncomfortable installing it, the same thread has instructions on how to use the AutoHotKey program to set up a script to do it but that is more difficult than just installing this small program.
Re: Why can't I copy/paste passwords into the impo... - Page 3 (intuit.com)
OMG – It worked 😊
Either you have to spell TurboTax with 2 capital T’s or maybe there was a space at the end of the copy paste password.
But I did try several times to type the awful password and it never worked.
Thank You!!!

Thanks for that... I'll use it. That is one issue Turbotax needs to fix.....
The fix for the original thread of this message is to generate a pw using "TurboTax". At least that worked for me after 2 weeks of problems. YIPEEEE...
I currently have a DM session open on Twitter with user TeamTurboTax and insisting on getting a ticket opened. Feel free to DM them as well to show them it's not just me.
? did you try this fix? If it works for you too, they don't need a ticket open.??? If this works for you too, then it may not be a TurboTax problem, it is a Wealthfront problem maybe. Perhaps wealthfront only accepts a connection from TurboTax and not turbotax

Not allowing users to paste passwords in a TurboTax problem. Users should not need to type 32 random characters in a masked field and hope they get it right.
Yeah, Wealthfront should not require a case -sensitive app id or should have TurboTax as an option that does not have to be typed. But the odds are just good that it already does that and that the problem is that the password is being mistyped.
That I definitely agree. I was on the phone with TurboTax when I finally fixed my connection ony 30 min or less ago. He said he'd put the complaint in about fixing that Cut and paste option, OR at least let us see what we are typing......... that's basic app design!!!
What browser were you using?
I used Chrome, and I had no problem copy-pasting the password.
Also, I see a lot of people posting about the name to use for the password. I used lowercase "turbotax" and it worked from the first try.
I was able to get this working. I deleted and created a new key. I swear this one has all lowercase, and the old one didn't, but I could be imagining that. It was a lot easier to discern 0s and Os and 1s and ls this time. I made sure to spell it TurboTax, and I entered my email in all caps. Doing all of that allowed it to work. I had no idea I could get premier download cheaper elsewhere. I'll have to keep that in mine for next year.
TurboTax needs to fix not allowing you to paste a password in, though. Most of my passwords are very long and very complex. They are a hassle to type in manually.
Thanks for the help, everyone.
I used G Chrome, and there was no issue with copy-pasting the password. What browser did you use?

I am using the CD version of Turbotax. So I didn't use a browser.
I tried changing passwords, doesnt help :(
In wealthfront, go to settings and scrolldown to find "Link Wealthfront to other apps" Here you generate app specific password.
On turbotax, wealthfront connection provide your userid/email as usual but then use the app specific password from previous step
This worked for me.
Pasting does not work on the Windows installed version, maybe on the online version does.
