My brokerage firm is late to provide income from IRA withdrawal and reg stock account for download. I have entered other income such as Social Security, State tax refund etc.
I am trying to get head start on finishing taxes by entering deductions. Message popped up "taking "Standard Deduction"" or words to that effect. After message popped up I was unable to enter further deductions such as large medical expenses, property taxes etc. My deductibles far exceed standard deduction based on last year's total income.
Is there someway other than temporarily entering bogus income to finish entering all my deductions? TurboTax should not lockout but only warn that "Standard Deductions" will be taken based on current info.

Thanks for your response. I am using TurobTax Deluxe CD version and that option does not exist. Tried going through "guided" rather than "I will select" which appears to do the same thing. Unfortunately that did not help. I could get to and select the Drug Deduction field just not be able to enter values.
I beat up on it some more and finally found real issue. Last year I entered details for medical fields due to multiple data sources. This year TurboTax decided I was going to detail these fields and automatically setup a blank detail worksheet with no real indication it had done so. I now know that if there is only a "$" in field, you can enter data. If there is a "$0" in field, there is a blank detail spreadsheet behind data field. Once I got TurboTax to display the blank detail worksheet (by accident) I was able to either delete the worksheet or enter new data in the worksheet.
