I got my Turbo Tax 2026 refund check from my purchase at Amazon. I submitted the request about 1 week ago.
Good to hear! I also filled out the refund form. I have heard nothing.
I am SO disappointed with TurboTax. I just wanted the basics and NO, did not do it! I am so disappointed, really?
Why should we have to use 2024 and adjust and guess?
I'm passed disappointment! the first time I needed help TT fails me, I will not use them again in the future.
It's December 28, 2025 and there are items still not available.... What happened to items being available December 17, 2025.
1. State and Local tax refunds from 2024 tax filing
2. Stocks, Mutual Funds and Bonds...Sale of land
3. IRA, 401(k) and Pensions
4. Sale of Home
Entering Social Security still does not function correctly. This was never fixed last year and continues not to be working this year.
After I click NO on "US Citizen living in these Countries" it does not allow info to be entered. It returns to Income Summary. I had to bring up the Form 1040, click on the line and enter the information through the back door.
After using Turbo Tax for many years I am disappointed and think it might be time to find another program.
Still not ready for basic input on December 26. Last year, there was a Major issue with carryover of capital losses from 2023 stock sales to the State return as well as not recognizing the exemption for avoiding an estimated tax underpayment penalty. Once I figured it out, I went from owing the State $15K to “only” owing $4K and that was on March 20Th. I lost a lot of faith in the program when that happened. I mentioned it to a neighbor and he had exactly the same problem so it wasn’t just operator error.
It's December 28th and the software is still nowhere near being ready to use. This is a big disappointment for me as well. I've done my taxes with TurboTax for so long that it's very hard to consider switching to another platform. I have done my own estimates and I think I am OK but it would be nice to be able to confirm this with TurboTax.
Any idea when the next update will be for the desktop version of Deluxe? There was no update on Thursday due to the holiday.
Same question here. I thought it might be Friday the 26th, but nope.
I in fact just checked today Monday Dec 29 at 11:55 Central time and no update available.
What the heck is going on at Intuit that they have totally dropped the ball on TurboTax 2025? Mass layoffs? Malware that shut down their development resources for weeks? An outbreak of measles?
TurboTax has been useful for me and so many for literally decades. That they have lied about their readiness of the software, while big chunks of the product necessary to do year-end planning never showed up even in the last couple of business days of the year, is absolutely out of character.
I saw the earlier suggestions to use FreeTaxUSA and finally decided just to check it out.
I figured that Turbotax would get their act together before the end of the year, but no luck!
I went ahead and input my numbers into FreeTaxUSA just to be able to do my calcs.
If Turbotax doesn't get this settled pretty quick, I will use FreeTaxUSA.
Turbotax has a 60 day money back guarantee if purchased directly from them.
I'm sure Amazon and Costco would be agreeable to a refund since this is such an obvious failure this year.

Will Turbo Tax reply to any of our concerns?
I doubt it, but they should. I’ve been using TT for over 30 years, since about the time Intuit bought it. The last few years have gotten progressively worse with late forms, inability to correctly calculate key (and somewhat common) items, and late forms. This year is the worst so far.
I don’t want to use a cloud-based tax system, and TT has one of the few desktop/local systems left. But I may switch after this year if they don’t come through with some explanations, improvements and “accommodations”.
Just FYI. For those who have anything to do with "foreign" countries (foreign income, non-US tax base, etc.), FreetaxUSA does not support your situation as of the end of 2025.
