I moved from Colorado to NY in 2022. I e-filed my Colorado and federal return and they have been accepted. Turbo tax will not let me e-file my NY return, the error messages states, I need to e-file my Federal first. I have e-filed my federal, when I check the status within the turbo tax software it states accepted, but the program is not recognizing it has been e -filed when I try to file NY.

To access your tax return after you've e-filed it or printed it as part of mailing your return to the IRS:
I hope this works for you. Please come back to the forum if you are not able to file the NY return.
This problem persists in TT 2024 for Mac OS desktop. The solution noted did not work--instructions did not match the screens.
