tax return rejected

The message I received from Turbo tax was that both federal, and because of federal rejection, state tax return, were rejected. Turbo tax indicated that they would flag and help with the specific issue when going into the tax return file. However , it did no such thing, took me through the entire return and making not one difference nor flagging anything as being an issue aside from now appending form 1040-X which had to be explained.

The indication of the problem triggering the rejection was reported to be "Schedule1_Self-Employed_Health_Insurance_Hold_Rule - Your federal return was rejected due to an issue with Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction on Schedule 1: Additional Income and Adjustments to Income". The program did not stop on this aspect nor made it feasible for me to find what or where precisely the issue may be.

Please help.

tax return rejected

Mine was rejected over the same issue. I'm not happy, as my deadline is tomorrow - my State has not extended the deadline.

TT does say an update to the form will be issued 4/30/21 - which is after the deadline. The only thing I can think of doing is paying my Fed and State taxes now (so as not to accrue penalties), filing the request for an extension now, and filing the actual returns later.

Thank you for your reply, that is more than I got after more than one hour with a representative. Anything tried made things worse in TT. Will try again with the update. Goodluck with your filing and extention.
