I filled out my 2019 taxes independently from my parents. My parents did not claim me, and although I am 22 and in college, I provide most of my expenses, well over half. On my 1040 form, the box that someone can claim me as a dependent is unchecked. I am kind of confused on whether or not I will get a check because of my age. Again, I filed as independent this year, and my parents did not claim me as a dependent. I did not say I could be claimed as a dependent on my taxes, and the box IS unchecked, so I wondered if I was still a dependent somehow? Might be a stupid question, but just trying to get answers. Thanks.

If you are 22, a full time college student and provided more than half of your own support in 2019, then your parents cannot claim you as a dependent.
As you have filed your 2019 tax return as a non-dependent, you are eligible for the stimulus payment.
So if it continuously says payment status not available, would that mean I am not getting one? I filed on 04/07, and i have already received my refund, so it should be processed.
