IRS sent my tax return back ONLY because I had used aerobat signatures rather than actually signing. That was the only issue, so now what?

Sign it with pen and ink and send it back to the address the letter should tell you.

I do not believe I signed my 1040, but mailed it. I don't know what to do. Should I ignore and wait to hear for IRS or should I send amended return and add signature?
