Schedule K-1 does not print to PDF

I have a simple partnership return with two partners and no income/expense. When I print the tax return to PDF for review, schedule K-1s are missing, only the cover letters are printed. The schedule K-1 pages are blank.

 

What could be the reason? Is it too early to finalize and file the tax returns?

Schedule K-1 does not print to PDF

Most likely, the K-1 schedules are missing because you had no income or expenses to be reported on them. It should not pose a problem as there is nothing you would need to enter from them on your personal tax return, as there are no tax numbers reported on them. It is not too early to finalize and submit your partnership return to the IRS.

Thanks for the reply.

 

I do need to print them out even though the K-1 has no numbers on them. The partners would need a copy of Schedule K-1 for their records.

 

Could you please let me know if there's a way to print the K-1 even if they're blank?

Yes, you can print them out. A simple way to do that would be to use the Forms menu option to bring up the schedule, then print it using the Print option at the bottom of the form.

I followed your instruction and it generates a blank page.

 

I also found this post: Form 1065 is not producing a k1 for distribution?

 

Is there something being worked on to resolve this or not really?

This is apparently an issue with the 2025 program that is currently being worked on.  There will be a fix very soon.

I have the same issue with the K-1's in Turbo Tax for Business.  My K-1 forms will not display or print

this is crazy

We anticipate this experience will be resolved after the updates on February 13, 2026. In the meantime, you might test these steps:

 

If both federal and state returns pass Smart Check, do the following:

  1. Exit TurboTax
  2. Turn off (or pause) your VPN and anti-virus software.
  3. Restart TurboTax and accept updates.
  4. Open your return and run Smart Check again.
  5. Attempt to print Schedules K-1.
