Hello TurboTax Customer Support

I was unable to to find an email to submit this problem that I found, so I hope someone will read here and move this message to the correct queue.

I have TurboTax Deluxe for Mac desktop for tax year 2022 that I just purchased and updated. When I try to enter the dates from the year 2022 for the home office usage, I get an error saying the dates must be up to year 2021. This needs to be corrected. FYI., I tried both formats for the year 22 and 2022. So the validation needs to be increased to cover year 2022. Please see my screenshots. Thanks!

There will be many updates before late January when you can first efile. Wait until then to complete your return.

Hi there. Yes, I know there will be updates. But if no one reports the bugs, then how will they know what to fix?

There is nothing to "FIX" right now since the program is not fully functional.  Many parts of the program are still "buggy" and will be corrected in future updates.

Last year I encountered two S/W issues that prevented me filing my return, and I became obvious that TurboTax's customer support was designed to isolate the S/W developers from the users. I actually had a supervisor at TurboTax tell a customer support representative that she wasn't authorized to say the problem I was experiencing was a S/W problem (problem was a corrupted date on one form plus the prior year's form being used on my state return). It took a late night email to the TurboTax CEO to finally break through the great wall of customer service and get the problem resolved. In the end I received a call where I was informed that there were indeed two S/W problems, that were exactly as I described them. In reading the responses from the TurboTax defenders below, it looks like nothing has changed, and there is still no way to communicate S/W problems from what are effectively beta testers back to the development team.
