I had already tried that. The Edit option is dithered out, so regardless if I put my cursor on the description line, right clicking option is dithered out & CTRL+D doesn't work. Wish it were that easy. Good try though.
Even if you could override the blank value on the description line (and you can’t because the Override option is grayed out), TurboTax does not allow you to e-file a tax return with an overridden value!!
Let’s get serious, Tech Support, this bug needs to be fixed. I’m sure there are a lot of TurboTaxers who have miscellaneous other income, and they are all going to be very unhappy when their tax submissions get rejected by the IRS!
Clearly this is a bug with the TurboTax software.
How do we elevate this to the correct level to get this fixed?
TurboTax expert employees, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
I need to file by mid-February. Anyone considering switching to another program? I've been using TurboTax for decades and really don't want to change.
Same problem for UK pension. IRS rejected my return. Have done the same thing for many years, first time experiencing this error.
Btw if you do override a value in forms, that voids your accuracy guarantee.
Hi again. I worked with someone today who researched the issue. She told me:
"After reviewing your case the code you received is an error code. The return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on January 31st, 2026. On or after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing".
I Googled the error today (wasn’t there yesterday) and got this:
The IRS error code S1-F1040-080-03 indicates a system or processing error related to Schedule 1 (Form 1040). This is typically an internal issue on the IRS's end or a software processing delay, rather than an error in your tax return data.
Again, I questioned this error code ‘S1-F1040-080-03’ being a ‘processing error’. I’ve been reassured (fingers crossed) that I should be able to resubmit on or after 1/31/26 with no problems.
Good luck to all of us!
