Question about income

I earned money for work that was done at the end of the year (2020), If I received payment for this work at the beginning of 2021, do I put this amount on my 2020 or 2021 taxes?  I am self employed.

You need to put the amount in the year your work was completed and you sent a bill to your customer(s).
