Qualified dividends and capital gain tax worksheet missing?

In my TY2023 form 1040, I'm trying to trace back the calculation for tax in line 16. Following the quick link takes me to the "Tax smart worksheet" in the 1040/1040SR worksheet. It's correctly checked A(4) (Qualified dividends and capital gain tax worksheet), but there's no link to that worksheet, and I can't find it anywhere in the forms list.

How do I view the QDCGT worksheet?

Thanks, Maya D.

I couldn't find it until TurboTax pulled a new set of updates and restarted, and then it appeared as "Qual Div/Cap Gn".

There's still no quick link on the 1040/1040SR Worksheet "Smart Tax Worksheet" line H, but it's fairly obvious from the check boxes above that it's from the "Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet", and most folks will connect that to the abbreviated name above.

Qualified dividends and capital gain tax worksheet missing?

i have entered a capital gain from a second home property i sold.

when I enter capital gains deduction I want to add supporting details; but clicking, double clicking, right clicking on the box does not go to a supporting details worksheet.

Where can I access that worksheet for capital gains deductions?

When you enter the sale of second home, it will ask if there are any special situations. The sale of a second home is listed like a stock, purchase, sale date , basis, sales proceeds. You enter the adjusted basis. If it was a rental or main home, the basis may need to be adjusted. This does not require a worksheet.

Please reply with more information for additional help.

When entering the capital gain there is a line for deductions from the capital gain.

having a supporting details worksheet for that entry would be very helpful.. this is the premier edition.

If you are using the CD/download version of TurboTax, you can go into Forms mode (upper right) and look for "Qual Div/Cap Gn" on the left (see image).

If you are using the Online product, I don't believe there is a way to see this worksheet until you pay for the product. When you print the tax return (pr make a PDF of it), be sure to ask for all the worksheets).
