Problems with Form 1310

As the Executor to my Father's estate, I am required to submit Form 1310 because he is getting the Recovery Rebate Credit (which makes no sense but that's another issue).  Turbo Tax has me fill out the form, tells me I have to file manually because of needing the form, but does not print the form as part of the mailing submittal.  When I go back and try to print the form manually, it has DO NOT FILE in red letters across the top.  I am very confused!

Problems with Form 1310

don't be confused. TurboTax has not issued all the forms yet.

IRS won't even look at your return until Feb 12.

After that, it may be that some forms are still not ready.

What is needed is a stamped copy of your Surrogate Court appointment. so you need to paper file.

Check Part I Box B

BUT, you can get Form 1310 now on www.irs.gov.

Paper filing will take a long time, because IRS is still backed up on 2019 tax returns that were mailed.

The EIP payment credit Line 30 is correct.

Problems with Form 1310

OK, thanks.  I just printed the form from the IRS site and mailed it to the IRS with my certified court appointment.  I have now checked the box in Turbo Tax that indicates the form has already been sent to IRS.  I will hold off doing anything else for several weeks until the bugs get worked out and hopefully I will be able to file electronically now.
