Hello , I have I think 4 w2 paper and the app just asked if I work at one of the four jobs, it didn’t ask to input my other w2 forms?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
For W2 you fill out the first one it will have a new page at the end that comes up and asks if you have another to enter. If you start over, it should do exactly the same thing. So if you didn't find it, select Wages & Income' and step through the entries for your first one until you get to the end of it. The next page should have the question 'Do You Have Another W-2 to Enter? with a yes or no selection - select yes to get another W2 blank form. You will have to do that four times to get all four entered.
Once you have one of them entered I think that it allows you to add another on that window. It says Here is what you have so far and allows you to edit each one and to add others.
You may have multiple copies of the same W-2 so review your W-2s to determine if they are the same data from only one employer. If this is the case, you don't have to take any further action. Multiple copies of the same W-2 are issued in case you file paper copies of your federal and state returns and you will need the extra W-2s for the different filings.
If you have four W-2s from four different employers and you have not filed your return, you need to add the additional data from the remaining W-2s before your file. Open TurboTax, go to the income screen, and select the W-2 entry option. Read the instructions to add more W-2 data.
If you have already electronically filed your tax return, you will need to prepare an amended return to report the additional income. You need to wait until the IRS has processed your original return and issued your refund if you received a refund. That will take around 2-4 weeks from the date your filed the return.
You can prepare an amended return with TurboTax but it is a little more involved. You may want to request some support to create the amended return.
Good Luck.
