Your return is based on how much your income you had, how much is taxable and how much money is withheld on your W-2 or other forms to pay the tax owed. In general, the tax tables are set up in 2019 to give you more income per week rather than at the end of the year. You can check to see that you have zero withholding on your W-4 form or even request that a little more can be taken out each pay period if you want a bigger refund.
