None of my AMT carryforward posted on line 25 of form 8801, therefore $0 transferred to Schedule 3, line 6. My AMT is $101000?

Hi Kurt,

Today is 3/26/2020. I use TurboTax Premier 2019. Latest updated as of today.

I have the same issue. On form 8801, line 25 doesn't have value which is supposed to be the smaller of line 21 or line 24. Please fix the bug. Thanks!

None of my AMT carryforward posted on line 25 of form 8801, therefore $0 transferred to Schedule 3, line 6. My AMT is $101000?

Follow KurtL1's advice to delete the old 8801 form. Then went over again "Credit for AMT Paid in Prior Year" under "Deductions & Credits" tab. The problem solved! I was able to get AMT credit.

I had the same problem. But have not been able to fix. I deleted my Turbotax program and reinstalled hoping there was an update. But have loading and running the updates, when I open my tax filing, the results were the same. Nothing on line 25. I also tried deleting the form and then reloaded but no change. Still nothing on line 25.

Thomas thanks that worked. But why Turbo Tax had to use a work around to get this right is beyond me. How many people that don't catch this and are missing out on the AMT carry forward credit? 

And to top it all off  - my return was rejected the first time so I  had paid to file the state return then and now Turbo Tax charged me again to file my state return. I will be disputing with my credit card company. 

Next year I definitely will be using one of your competitors products.
