still not fixed :(
Same as of Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Endless "Needs Review" and then requiring imports that loop endlessly. Gah! So annoying.
(and the tireless suggestions of 'clear cookies and cache' is the lazy tech method to try and placate end users -- even more useless!)
For my case, I have a monthly charge/fee in an etf (BAR) that they sell a small "share" to cover. The cost basis is not reported and you have to go to a calculator online to get it (but this is kind of ridiculous since etrade/morgan stanley could easily do this as well or even TT), so the cost basis is often < $1.
If I do the normal flow and report costs basis not reported, leave the cost basis from the import blank and click "The cost basis is incorrect or missing on my 1099‑B" and then "Continue" to "
Actually this isn't just for adjusted cost basis <$1. It seems it is for any adjusted cost basis for stock or ETF (did not happen for RSU and ESPP).
I have MPLX and that cost basis is not reported on 1099-B but the info is in the supplemental (which I also don't understand why TT can't read/parse or why Etrade/Morgan Stanley can't just created an adjusted version of the 1099-B to use).
It also had the same issue. But again the same workaround of manually entering the adjusted cost basis in the main form, keeping "The cost basis is incorrect or missing on my 1099‑B" selected, but then "Continue"-ing to and selecting "I don't want to make any changes to my cost basis right now" instead of "I know my cost basis and need to make an adjustment Actual cost basis".
But again this is so much scrolling to fix because it always sends you back and you have to navigate back to where you were when making the corrections. Please report that as a bug or make it a feature request to just stay where you are in the list of transaction when reviewing them. If I want to go back to the beginning there is a navigation button for that but there is no navigation button to go back to where I just clicked a bunch of times to get back to where I was for the hundredth time. Also if you are putting up a table with scrollable rows, then have the column headings fixed, they shouldn't scroll away so you lose track/can't see what each column is after scrolling down. So basic... developers need to take more pride in the product.
