When you were in the File section of the program on Step 1, you were shown the Order Summary. If you disagreed with the cost, why did you continue and pay for the account fee?
You could have removed any option shown and you could have also cleared the tax return and started over with a lower priced edition or you could have used another service.

I’m sorry but that is a down right lie it was never shown on the page there was a place to put my credit card info in, to the right it showed federal with a 1 or a 4 with a line slashed through it further down the page was state with no amount, I figured maybe it’s just to pay my taxes or after I entered my credit card info it would show me what I was paying for. That was not the case it just charged the 199.00 for services I was not to be charged for. It’s very deceptive and intended to make a profit to many who wouldn’t speak up. I called and investigated and was given a refund immediately and also told it’s a glitch in the system. Also told you have to go to tools and hit down grade when I asked why I was being charged at all. I took a screenshot of the page for your clarity, if you so wish I share it. Thank you.

No what is on the right side of the page was not there at all the credit card part was and the two options underneath , the only thing to the right was a amount with a slash through it and a bunch of stuff I could do and further down the state stuff but absolutely no amounts at all until afte4 I put my info in and was charged.
You are a very dishonest person. TurboTax is embarrassingly horrible, and you shouldn't be anywhere near the comments section telling other what they should or shouldn't have done. The audacity..
Yup, that person who replied to you has quite the nasty attitude talking to you as if you're at fault. The same thing happened to me, I scrutinize every page & was never shown the $199 until AFTER I paid in my e-receipt, and now they're claiming they can't refund me: how convenient. Can you share with me how you got a refund? I am not letting these cheapskates get away with their deceptive ways.
