My tax form keeps asking me to enter a dependent when I don’t have one. How can I avoid this confusion to continue filing my taxes?

It’s asking for a dependents ssn when I never even entered that I had one.

I had this exact problem, I put 0 in there where it asked and it pretty much solved the problem.  I think there’s a weird glitch in the software right now.

Supplemental information and dependents keep popping up how do I get rid of this?

One thing you can try to do is click on that form
*FORMS tab on the review page, top right
*the FORM that has this will show up
*scroll down to the bottom
*DELETE

It will ask if you want to DELETE the form
*YES
