My federal return was accepted by my IL state return keeps getting rejected. I'm not sure why I keep getting "Reject Code IL1040-8100-1". I have my 2024 return transcript from MyTaxIllinois and I entered my 2024 AGI correctly, as well as my IP PIN, SSN, and State ID information. I've been rejected six times. Am I doing something wrong? Should I file by mail instead?

You should be able to e-file if you use your IL-PIN or IL driver's license, which are alternative methods to your prior year's AGI. If you amended or changed the prior year's AGI that's what you use. if you filed after 10/15 try zero. Try dropping pennies from the prior year's agi.

Maybe others can suggest other approaches, but if not and the issue can't be resolved you'll have to file by mail.
It didn't ask me for my IL-PIN when I e-filed, but it did ask for my six digit IP PIN that I got from logging onto my IRS account so I put that in. I don't have an IL Driver's license so I put in my State ID as well, which isn't expired.
I am having the same issue. I have my IL PIN, but cannot for the life of me (even with multiple screen shared customer service calls) find where to enter it. I have tried deleting and completely redoing my state taxes with no avail. Does anyone have a hack for getting to the page to enter the IL PIN on the online version? I WAS able to add the PIN on the desktop version, but that isn't allowing me to e-file only my state taxes despite the fact that it shows fed taxes already accepted.
Update: I left TurboTax alone for a few days and then re-filed earlier this morning. When I went to fix my state return, I got a prompt to enter my IL-PIN or Driver's License/State ID. I entered my IL-PIN and re-submitted. A few hours later, I got an email saying that my state return was accepted! If you are dealing with Reject Code IL1040-8100-1, you may just have to wait a few days before refiling as it might just be a weird glitch on TurboTax's end.
or Illinois.
So at the end of the state process when they ask for AGI, say no I don't have it. then you will get the prompt for IL-Pin. I had the same issue with a week of rejections. I believe in the past the IL-pin was a prompted choice, almost a part of the signature and I've never had this issue in the past. I hope that helps
