Thank you for replying,
The issue I was having was that it kept on triggering the "joint file separate property form" even though I am NOT filing jointly. This started happening after the update.
I gave up trying to use the "step by step" wizard and ended up manually deleting the copy form and inputting the address manually in the form view to trigger YES answers and submitted my returns.
The problem appears to be that the data being inputted wasn't making it to the IRS forms, I assume there was a bug with the form triggers of when data is inputted or not on the forms.
Just to follow up for anyone following, my federal return was accepted after going through the new review process. Its still cumbersome, but it did finally work. I ended up using my PC and the desktop version of the website because the mobile app was objectively harder to use and way too clunky for me to trust. TT asked a few extra questions that werent asked initially which seemed to be the reason it was getting rejected.
Has anyone re-submitted using the web version of TT? is it fixed?
Have anybody resubmitted and it went through
Sorry I didn't use the step by step, I just filled out the form view (see my earlier posts). But yes it went through and it was accepted after I filled out some items manually.
Yes
Yes. It should go through now.
It's not, can you please tell me where to delete this years return from TT so I can use something else? The "clear and start over" option isn't working because TT tells me I've already filed.
This is still not working for me. Please help!
Not working for me, done with this game. The green competitor worked just fine, taxes completed in less than an hour, both Federal and State filings accepted in less than 10 minutes, for cheaper....just saying....done with TT
Is there an issue with Form 5695?
I have tried several times to submit my return and it keeps getting rejected because of this form.
I have deleted and reentered several times.
It was supposed to have been fixed Feb 7, then who knows? Then 24 Feb. "Experts" here even claimed it was. It wasn't and my current TT progress seemed to be getting worse. I abandoned TT and went with a well known competitor with no issues, federal and state accepted within minutes and now just waiting. I would have sworn by TT until this experience. Was a long time customer, but I'm not trusting them with my taxes if they can't seem to get a simple form fixed. None of the "expert employee" advice I got here was even relevant, much less effective in correcting the issue. I will personally NEVER use anything administered by Intuit ever again.
As of the last TurboTax update, most of the known issues with Form 5695 have been resolved. There is still a calculation issue affecting only joint ownership of the home and claiming one specific credit that is scheduled to be corrected with the next update around March 8th. If this applies to you, see this link and sign up for updates: Why is TurboTax limiting my Home Energy Credit when I have a non-spouse occupant?
If you are still experiencing an issue, please respond with details so that someone may help you get it resolved.
how can I delete all forms & start over with my taxes
