Here is a notification sign up for some of the problems, but it doesn't seem to cover all the problems.
If you are being told in-program that Feb 23 is the date, let's go with that. I would definitely want to make sure you re-run the entire energy credit interview not just the section you need.
I used to be able to file for free.
Then it was $40 dollars.
Then they want me to upgrade for audit assistance and such and such.
Then they fail at correctly provide the forms. TT is a joke to me after this mess up. I could have paper filed my return after filing them three times this year including the two rejections.
Now it is 10 days to fix the forms. I have lost my trust in these people.
There's a new sign up for notifications for form 5695, although it may not cover every problem.
Hopefully, when form 5695 is fixed, it will fix all the problems.
I'm having the same issues with Form 5695, trying to claim a carryover credit from 2022. My filings (state and Fed) have been rejected twice. Both times I ran through the process, checked all forms and each time TurbuTax stated everything was correct and proceeded to efile. I hope they get it right this time!
Same issue here.
TT is a total joke. No attempt to make it right with their customers. Just suck it and wait.
Hey Intuit, you have no idea how to treat your customers. Sure hope you get a nice class action suit out of all the failures.
Freaking joke, ready to move to something else next year.
I am also having the same problem ! This is a TurboTax problem and it's not okay and needs to be remedied STAT.
It looks like a Turbo tax issue. My form doesnt have my address on it. I answered all of the questions properly but Turbo Tax doesnt input the address on the first like above question 1, resulting in the error. I wouldnt pay turbo tax more money, I think they owe money to thier customers for a faulty coding error on their product.
Me 2
If you are waiting on the form to be fixed and your return was rejected, you ca leave TurboTax ang go elsewhere if you wish as the IRS hasnt accepted/received your return.
I left, got arefund from TT and went to tax act. Same day acceptance and my return was bigger
Form 5695 had an update on Feb. 8. That update appeared to fix things for the electric heat pump credit. However, they must have sent out another update as now I am being forced to put my address into the Residential Clean Energy Credit Section when I don't have anything to complete in that section.
I have the same issue just yesterday, Turbo Tax needs to do way better to support their customers. I don't know if they are even looking at these forums or even care.
My issue
- the YES / NO boxes under Qualified Energy Efficiency Improvements show up checked under form 5695 when I'm in Turbo Tax but the printed version shows unchecked, I assume the data isn't making it to the IRS
- I filed twice already both rejected, I have no idea what ramification this will have in the future
Suggestions
- Turbo Tax knew about this issue, y wasn't there a msg informing users???
- Turbo Tax should offer a partial refund for their product, we pay for a working product and it's not working and costing us time and possibly issues with the IRS
- I don't see a report a bug feature in Turbo Tax, they should include it
- I've been using Turbo Tax for years with no issues, but this year it has been a disappointment
So the return was not rejected. It was really an error on TT side. So they didn’t send it to the IRS?
Unfortunately it was rejected by the IRS, twice.
