Hi,
Hopefully this is a real simple answer, like "delete the schedule"
Situation : I've had a vacation property that I rent and use personally for 3 years. The first two years I rented it out more than the amount of days necessary to complete a Schedule E (15 I think). Because of this, in 2017 and 2018 tax years I filled out a schedule E, included rental income, offset by % of expenses based on rental/personal use.
In 2019, I've rented the property out less than 15 days. I did fill out all the information in Turbo Tax as if I was going to report the net income, but Turbo Tax flagged the entry because the days rented was less than 15.
To fix this, do I just delete the whole Schedule E from my return?

I wouldn't do that, as you may need it again. It would be easier to back out the income as an expense citing "fewer than 15 days usage".
OK. I can see where that would be useful. The problem is that Turbo Tax will throw an error on the Days Used field if I apply the proper days rented. Do I just put 15 there? Or just figure that I will live with the error on Turbo Tax and ignore it?
Unfortunately, some times you have to trick the program to get it to do what you want. I just back through the rental and left our personal days, and did not touch any other category. I was able to pass through the review.
