MFS Mock Fed Return in Community Property State

My wife needs to file a MFS individual Non-Resident return in Virginia.

We filed MFJ Fed and MFJ Arizona, a Community Property State.

In preparing a MOCK Fed MFS 1040 to prepare the Non-Resident MFS return in Virginia, can I just divide all the amounts in the MFJ Fed 1040 Return by 2, since in a Community Property State, it's all 50/50?  Even if I do a MOCK MFS return for my wife, I should be doing the addition and division, so I should end up at the same place, right?  Or am I missing something?

EDIT:  I see that RETIREMENT DISTRIBUTIONS are considered separate income, so I would not simply split that. But earned income, charitable deductions, etc., should be split 50/50... is my theory...
