Itemized vs. Standard.

My Itemized Deductions were $300 higher than the standard deduction but Turbo Tax said to take Standard.

I do not understand why.

There are no medical expenses in my itemized.
Property taxes were just $3000 

I did not exceed anything.

I am going to reply to my own message as I figured it out!

Since the IRS now allows up to $300 for charitable contributions, it added that in.  My standard deduction plus that $300 coincidently equaled my itemized deductions.  I can now see why Turbo Tax told me to take the standard.  That makes sense.  Turbo Tax is smart. 🙂
