It seems that federal filing for Texas residents has been extended to June 17, 2021. Is this true? And will Turbo Tax handle the change?

Yes, the federal filing deadline for residents of Texas has been extended to June 15, 2021 (not June 17th).

TurboTax will be modified to handle the change (if it hasn't been already, I am trying to find out).

It appears that TurboTax is asking people who want to do direct debit after May 17, 2021, to instead pay by mail (with the 1040-V voucher) or pay online at the IRS website.

On the "how would you like to pay your federal taxes?" screen, there is a link at the bottom that is for residents of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana that will explain this.
