Yes! Quite frustrating! I called them over 2 weeks ago..Ttax said there's a bug..and they're working on it..It STILL didn't work..as of today!

I am having the same problem. Installation fails every time I try to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable package. I have Windows 11(64bit).

I have been unable to successfully install 2025 TurboTax Deluxe desktop.  The install file that downloads goes through the installation process but when the launch screen appears and you click it. a pop-up box appears that says Error and the app closes.  Tried everything but nothing seems to work. Made sure TT was authorized by firewall and even downloaded the update file and manually executed the update.  Nothing

Hi all...

Thank you all for your suggestions about TT25 on Dell Windows 11 but I figured out the problem myself and maybe this info can help you.  I am embarrassed to even explain it, but apprently I have TWO microsoft accounts.  I guess I knew that but didn't think it mattered...well, it does.  I default to one acct but I am registered under another acct and apparently you have to be logged into microsoft with the acct that TT knows.  Once I changed accts, the program worked flawlessly!!  Thank you all again!!

Hi.  I read a comment below about installing C++ 2022.  So I went to the Microsoft site and downloaded and installed visual studio 14 v64 (which includes C ++).   And WALLAH - TurboTax installed and launched.  I activated desktop with my code and imported my 2024 data. All looks good so far.

Yup it doesn't work.  I have the visual basic update, ran as administrator, no VPN, etc. Loaded program errors out on launch: "Looks like we've run into an error" window.  Switching to H&R Block after 20+ years of Turbo tax.
