I have this scenario, which should not be uncommon. One investor manages two accounts under different social security numbers, one is his own the other belongs to his child. When using TT to file tax for the child, the investor is importing 1099b, however after entering the username and password for Fidelity, the 1099b from his own account was imported into the child's return, rather than the child's own 1099b.
This is happening in the TT for 2022. In the previous years' versions, there were a list of 1099b available for download from one single Fidelity login, and the TT user can select the correct forms to import. In TT 2022, there is no such selection and the wrong set of forms are imported right away.

It would be best to ensure the investor clears the cache on the browser, as well as delete the cookies. So once they go to log in to the second account, it will then pull in the other account.
If you need any assistance, please give us a call so we can walk through this with you.
Your reply raised a bigger concern. Are you implying the import steps actually store user's login credentials to the browser cache, without the user's consent, and later rely on the data for more importing? I see a security breach, don't you? What features does TT gain by doing this? Consider the scenario where a PC with TT installed and more than one user is using the software on the PC. You offer me to call you (at what number?) to walk me through this, how about other users who would struggle with this?
Any browser will hold cache, unless you set it to clear out on each login.
You relied on the wrong cache data to pull wrong data, isn't that the root cause of the symptom I am reporting here?
