Are you implying the import steps actually store user's login credentials to the browser cache, without the user's consent, and later rely on the data for more importing? I see a security breach, don't you? What features does TT gain by doing this? Consider the scenario where a PC with TT installed and more than one user is using the software on the PC. You offer me to call you (at what number?) to walk me through this, how about other users who would struggle with this?
