Hi @JamesG1
Thank you very much for your instructions.
1. Etrade have a cvs file but when I download, there is no data, so basically just pdf file available.
2. I'm using Turbo tax Deluxe and it does not have the same steps as you do. However, I did enter them by summary short term vs long term but still would like to show the details of the sales.
Is there any other options that you can think of using turbo tax Deluxe version?
Really appreciate your inputs.
That pdf file is the csv file. Follow those steps to import the pdf.
Thank you @RobertB4444 for your response.
When you meant follow those steps, where are those steps that you are referring to?
I have the pdf file download on my laptop. I tried to import from Turbo tax deluxe and it keeps saying there is no tax data. It’s not the login issue. Somehow I think I don’t have tax doc to report but I do have 1099 consolidated tax report download manually from Etrade.
Would you please provide the specific steps? I’ve entered the summary manually already but would like to import the transaction details.
Thank you for your help
If you have already entered the summary information manually from your 1099, a successful download would only duplicate what you have entered. The downloads don't always work. The issue very well may be on your brokers side. You can try clearing your cache and cookies, and/or changing browsers. But if you have the information and you've entered it, I would run with that!
Amen.. my 1099-Bs (one from E*Trade and one from Morgan Stanley) are over 800 pages... this import into TurboTax needs to work. 2/17/24 (today) was the deadline.... what is the issue?
Do we have any resolution yet ?
Until today it mentioned that form would be available by Feb 17, 2024. but i don't see any form after logging into my etrade from intuit console.
To Intuit Expert : Stop sending us to some reference pages. we need a real solution.
I was able to download my E*Trade consolidated 1099 from 2023 Turbo Tax Premier.
It's the 17th and still can't download 1099b from etrade?

E*Trade was sold to Morgan Stanley. Did you not receive a notice of the account change?
Did you get both the old etrade and new after acquisition by MS 1099b's transferred when you requested the transfer?
I just imported mine a few minutes ago without a problem...
I talked to ETrade customer service today. With TurboTax desktop, there’s a 2000 transaction limit for the 1099-B import. For the web version, it’s fewer.
Yes, both were pulled in
I was able to download my 1099 from Etrade, however, I can't download the 1099 from Morgan Stanley Capital Management (the post etrade merger company). The only Morgan Stanley option available on TT is Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and my login isn't working. Is Morgan Stanley Capital Management not a partner with TT for downloads??
