I appreciate your answer being here. It's very telling that the gliche from March 2023 is still there Feb of 2025.
Thought I had missed something also. I talked to a representative who said you had to send it in with a check because my state didn't accept a bank payment. I asked if there was a way to verify what I had selected and no help. What he said made no sense as I know I filled out the bank information for Federal and state. So these posts help. I will verify with bank. Looks like a know issue they have chosen not to fix and their customer support is not aware of how their product works.
As an update, MO did take the amount due directly from the bank as desired.
Please get this Missouri State issue fixed in Turbotax. It is confusing to have the product state we need to print and mail in the payment voucher (with our payment) when we elected to direct debit from our bank. Clearly this is a software error.
This is another case where Turbotax shows they have a glitch in the Missouri tax return but don't bother to correct it.
Yes, you can ignore the mail-in voucher that printed for you.
We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses.
Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab:
@tmmoore800 Curious how long it took for MO to take the amount you owed from your bank account after filing? I opted for the same but no money has been deducted from my bank account yet.
I scheduled the withdraw for more than a month later and it was withdrawn on or near that date.
