If you did not prepare and file your federal tax return using TT, you will not be able to use TT for a "stand alone" state return.  When you use TurboTax, the information flows from the federal return to the state return.   If you used TT for federal, then just re-open your return and click on Add a State to finish your state return.

Or....go on your state's own tax website and use it to prepare your state return.  You will need information from your federal return.   Your state wage and tax information is in boxes 15-20 of your W-2's.
