Why don't you file married jointly? Your common law married. You should been able to get stimulus for both of you
I wonder does anyone know who to get in contact with at this point? I need some answers this makes day 52! I am getting frustrated at this point.
I filed my taxes Jan 28 2020
Then recieved a letter sometime in March saying it is being reviewed. Here it is May 25th and I finally got a different message on (where is my refund), that. I should recieve my return by May 29 2020..Does the IRS pay interest for that time?
WOW! I filed on Feb. 3rd! Called twice by the second call Inwas aware I was under review until April 24, it is now May 26, no letter, and today was an a holiday
The IRS doesn't pay you interest for holding your money all year if you have too much withheld, or if you pay too much in estimated tax.
However, the IRS may pay you interest if they send your refund later than 45 days from the filing deadline for your return.
If you file your return before it is due, the IRS still has 45 days from the deadline. If you file after the deadline, then the 45-day period begins the date on which you filed.
I filed February 10 got a letter in March told me 45 to 60 days from March 23 it’s now June 13 have not seen another letter that says why they’re still holding my taxes and every time I call I get a busy automated line the **bleep**s stupid
