If you did NOT pay or  e-file yet you can switch to Free File if you qualify--or use one of the other free software programs offered on the IRS site.

If you qualify to use it, there is another full-featured free version of the software:

to find truly free filing. Note that some include free state as well; that's important.
Otherwise, If you have to file a state return, and don't want to do that yourself, you will need software.
