Yes, TurboTax does not know that you mailed in your return.

When you select the "print and mail" option and print the returns, the program will show "Ready to Mail". It will show that status *FOREVER*, as the program has no way possible of knowing you actually mailed the return, or that the IRS actually received and processed the return. The "Ready to Mail" status will never change.
