I'm married and I claim 0 on my w4, but they are only taking 0.1% taxes from my pay. I'm in the 10% federal tax bracket. Does anyone know why that's so low? I know I need to add extra to come out, but

Not sure how much they are really withholding from your paychecks--but learn a bit more about decimals.

.1 is the same as 10%

Example:   .1 x $100 =  $10

10% of $100 = $10

If you prepare your tax return and end up owing, then of course you will want to change how much is being withheld.

...or did you really mean 0.1%  ?

That would be 10cents out of every $100.
